The Program
The Australian Government has established the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) in partnership with the Government of Fiji to implement its education, health and scholarship aid programs in Fiji and its scholarship program in Tuvalu. The Facility will also support the delivery of Australia’s emergency preparedness and response efforts and governance sector support. As with all Australian Government aid, cross cutting priorities of civil society engagement, gender equality, disability inclusiveness, child protection and climate change will be integrated across all programs.
Australia’s Support to Fiji’s Education Sector (the Program) is a key component of the Facility. The focus of the support is on strengthening education service delivery as well as education systems strengthening, in particular literacy and numeracy, inclusive education, Fiji Education Management Information System (FEMIS), internet connectivity, and teacher preparation and development. The company managing the Facility on behalf of the Australian Government, Coffey, is currently seeking applications for the role of Training Program Manager.
The Position
The Training Program Manager will be based at our client’s office and will be working with their Learning and Development Unit to ensure the training program is successfully implemented, participant registration is managed efficiently, and the assessment team delivers punctual marking and feedback. Key responsibilities include:
- Support relevant teams to develop effective procedures and processes for the administration of the training program, including registration (and re-registration), management of enrolment, content support and ensuring the provision of post-assessment feedback.
- Work with the relevant units to establish and manage a trained pool of assessors and ensure there is appropriate moderation, work is appropriately allocated, assessments and moderations are completed on time, and assessor performance is monitored.
- Support other learning and development issues and procedures to help achieve an effective approach to the management of professional learning and development in the organisation.
The Person
The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and possess project management experience, preferably in implementing training programs, including online programs. The candidate will have to demonstrate experience in developing and implementing administrative frameworks for training programs to ensure appropriate controls are implemented. Experience capacitating staff, guiding a team in managing changes in processes and practices, and excellent communication and analytical skills are also required.
