The Australian Government’s Fiji Program Support Facility announces:
Remuneration and Benefits Adviser

The Program
The Australian Government has established the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) to implement its Education, Health and Scholarship aid programs in Fiji and its Scholarship program in Tuvalu. The Facility will also support the Civil Society Sector in Fiji and delivery of Australia’s emergency response efforts following natural disasters, as well as governance sector support when requested by the Fijian Government.
The Civil Service Reform Management Unit (CSRMU) manages and implements a range of reforms across the civil service in Fiji.
The company managing the Facility on behalf of the Australian Government, Coffey, is recruiting the position of Job Evaluation and Position Based Remuneration Adviser on behalf of the CSRMU.
The Position
The Remuneration and Benefits Adviser will support the consolidation of recent implementation activities, through ongoing improvements to job documentation, furthering the understanding of job evaluation and building the ministry level ability to apply job evaluation principles. The Adviser will train and develop the capacity of ministry officials in fully implementing the principles of position and performance-based pay and all aspects of the Job Evaluation and Civil Service Remuneration Setting Guideline, including the links to the Performance Management Framework.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have Qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent industry certification in Job Evaluation or Remuneration setting combined with significant experience in developing and delivering workplace based training programs to meet government wide initiatives, preferably in position / performance based remuneration management and related human resource management topics and significant experience encouraging and supporting the implementation of significant change in human resource policy and procedure.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders and mentoring and coaching professional colleagues from different social and cultural backgrounds will be required and experience in Fiji or another developing country is highly desirable.
The Government would prefer one long term adviser for the role, but would consider job share arrangements if suitable applicants are available but do not want to commit to a full year.
