The Program
Australia Awards Indonesia (AAI) provides long term Scholarships as well as Short Course Awards. The Australian Government has committed to provide up to 500 Australia Award Scholarships per year and up to 200 Short Course Awards.
Australia Awards are an integral part of Australia's development cooperation program with Indonesia and have enjoyed strong support from both governments for more than sixty years.
Coffey, as the managing contractor for AAI, is currently seeking applications for a part time Program Assistant.
The Position
The role is to support the implementation of the On Award Enrichment Strategy for Australia Awards Indonesia. This strategy involves connecting Australia Awards Scholarship students from Indonesia, while they are studying in Australia, with Australian people and organisations through a series of programs and activities.
The key elements of this role will involve arranging travel, accommodation, functions and events, and communicating with a range of key stakeholders and partners. The role may also involve preparing communication material for social and other media, conducting evaluation surveys, and preparing routine reports.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in office management and, or administration, experience in managing and organising events, preferably with exposure to international development programs.
To be successful in this position, we are seeking someone who has exceptional people skills, both when dealing internally with Coffey teams, as well as externally with clients, stakeholders, and service providers; have cross-cultural sensitivity in communicating with Indonesian scholarship students coupled with a high level of organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and identify and manage priorities.
